Laura has been with BakerHicks for 11 years, having undertaken a degree in Building Design Engineering at Glasgow University. Most recently she has been working on a number of projects at Glasgow Airport for AGS, who also own the airports at Aberdeen and Southampton.

"To be benchmarked against the best women in the industry and get to the final stages of such a sought after award was incredibly exciting. It reflects not only my hard work in getting to where I am today, but also the superb support of a fantastically talented team at BakerHicks."

"I was thrilled to be listed as a finalist, with such high calibre names alongside me. The support from my manager and colleagues has been fantastic and the reaction from within the business has been one of constant encouragement. I am incredibly proud of making it as far as I did."

Martin Lubieniecki, Managing Director of BakerHicks, says:

“We invest in our people and promote a culture that encourages employees to strive for the best, and Laura and Navdeep are perfect examples of this. It is an incredible achievement for both Laura and Navdeep to reach the final stages of such a high profile awards scheme. The WICE Awards do a fantastic job of promoting the depth of female talent that exists within a traditionally male dominated industry and we fully support the great work they do.”

The final winners for each category were chosen after a judging day when each finalist was assessed by a panel of approximately 50 highly-respected judges. Winners were announced at the awards dinner on 19 May at the Hilton Bankside, London.
